Total shipments of Portland and blended cement in the USA and Puerto Rico in April 2015 rose by 4.1 per cent to around 7.7Mt, latest data from the USGS shows. Portland and blended cement shipments in the US and Puerto Rico in April 2015 amounted to 7.669Mt, preliminary data from the USGS shows. Imports accounted for 776,781t of total dispatches during the month. For the first four months of this year, shipments reached 24.09Mt, of which 2.321Mt were imports.
