Loma Negra to double-list08 September 2017, Published under Cement NewsArgentina’s Loma Negra has followed up its initial public offering (IPO) in New York with an offering on the domestic stock exchange, according to Brazil’s Valor newspaper. Analysts forecast the domestic float, expected as early as this month, could bring more than US$100m to the company’s coffers. The cement producer will use the funds to expand its Amali works, a project which requires an investment of US$350m, as well as reducing debt. |

Imports surged from 982t in July 2016 to 8692t one year later. When compared with June 2017, they advanced 6.2 per cent from 8188t. When compared with June 2016, the increase reached 17.2 per cent. The rise in consumption is mainly attributable to an increase in bulk cement, which was up 28 per cent YoY, offsetting a three per cent dip in bagged sales. Loma Negra board to consider equity offering13 June 2017, Published under Cement NewsCimpor announced that the board of directors of its subsidiary, Loma Negra (Argentina) has called for an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) to consider the necessary moves required for it to pursue an equity offering on the local and international capital markets.
