Holcim El Salvador produced over 1.2Mt of cement and 710,000Mm 3 of concrete in 2019, representing record production figures, and plans to maintain this positive performance in 2020. Cement dispatches in Colombia increased by 8.5 per cent YoY to 995,400t in January 2020 from 917,100t in January 2019, according the country’s statistics office, DANE. GICA subsidiary prepares export plan

The Public Industrial Group of Algerian Cement (GICA) has announced that its Beni Saf subsidiary plans to export over 45,000t of clinker to African countries during the current year. CRH plc posted a six per cent advance, or three per cent like-for-like (LfL), in sales to EUR28.3bn in 2019 when compared with 2018. Cement demand in Vietnam falls 37% in January

Demand for cement in Vietnam in January 2020 saw a 37 per cent YoY decline to 2,879,347t, according to the Vietnam National Cement Association (VNCA). Domestic sales by VICEM fell 43 per cent YoY to 903,383t while its associates saw a 36 per cent YoY drop to 756,964t. Holcim Philippines achieved a revenue of PHP33.5bn (US$660.4m) in 2019 despite a slow first half in terms of construction activity. Dangote Cement will construct a new 3000tpd clinker grinding plant in Gabon, representing an investment of US$75m, according to Dangote Group President, Alhaji Aliko Dangote. Raysut Cement's UAE subsidiary, Pioneer Cement, has signed an agreement for the development of a limestone mine in Georgia. Under the 10-year deal SFL International will pay a royalty to Pioneer Cement for mining the limestone deposits. Cementos Molins posted a consolidated net profit of EUR90m in 2019, up five per cent YoY. EBITDA increased five per cent YoY to EUR49m.
