US-based Martin Marietta Materials saw turnover advance by seven per cent in 2018 to US$4244.3m. EBITDA was 8.6 per cent ahead at US$1103.8m, but the final quarter showed a 5.9 per cent decline. Cemex LatAm Holdings (CLH) announced consolidated net sales of US$260m in 4Q18, a fall of seven per cent on the US$278m achieved in 4Q17. Huaxin Cement has announced that it will construct a new cement plant in Uzbekistan, with government approval already received. The company has set up a new venture, Huaxin Cement Jizzakh, for the implementation of the 1.2Mta facility. The Indian LafargeHolcim subsidiary ACC Ltd has reported an 8.4 per cent increase in cement deliveries for 2018 to 28.44Mt, while in the fourth quarter the advance was of a similar magnitude to 7.5Mt.
