The auction of about 3000 acres of land and 800 shares of Colorado-Big Thompson water owned by Holcim Inc. is scheduled to begin at 10 a.m. Sept. 17 at the Fort Collins Hilton, 425 W. Prospect Road. Insurer pays tsunami claim to Semen Andalas

With increasing energy costs eating into its profitability, Siam City Cement Plc plans to raise its cement prices.  The country’s second largest cement maker would not say when or by how much it would raise its prices. Major cement companies reported a decline in production in July this year over the corresponding month last year.    Cement production of Gujarat Ambuja Cements Limited (GACL) in July has decreased by eight per cent over the corresponding period last year. In absolute terms, production was 0.949Mt in July.
