Electra Gold Ltd. has received a purchase order from Lafarge Canada Inc. for 2200t of chalky geyserite for its cement plant located in Richmond, BC.  The chalky geyserite must be delivered to Port Hardy FOB on barge. Ex-factory price of construction goods steady in China

The ex-factory prices of construction materials and non-mineral products in March remained the same as in the previous month but decreased by 1.78 per cent on-year. The ex-factory price of cement averaged 225-230 yuan per ton since September 2004, with that in March reaching 227.23 yuan per ton, 0.89 yuan less than in February and 10.16 yuan more year on year. Govt Approves cement industry’s development plan, Vietnam

Russian antitrust regulator probes Eurocement Group

Russia’ Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) has reportedly initiated a case against Eurocement Group, FAS’ress service said Monday.   The probe was prompted by requests from various construction companies. Indonesia’s cement consumption, an indicator of economic activity, rose 6.9 per cent by volume in April from a year earlier, the country’s largest cement maker said.
