APCMA reports Pakistan cement dispatch rise for 5MFY2018-19

According to All Pakistan Cement Manufacturer Association (APCMA), total dispatches from Pakistan's cement mills in the first five months of this fiscal July-Nov 2018 stood at 19.253Mt against dispatches of 18.513Mt achieved during the corresponding period of last financial year. Oman's Raysut Cement has awarded the contract for the installation of a waste heat recovery (WHR) system to Sinoma Overseas Development Co of China. Vietnam Jan-Nov output up 9% YoY

Vietnam is estimated to have produced 81.9Mt of cement in the first 11 months of 2018, representing a rise of 9.3 per cent YoY, according to the country’s General Statistics Office. Cement output in November increased 8.9 per cent YoY to 8.2Mt and saw a 3.8 per cent advance MoM from 7.9Mt in October.

New Rudny plant to start export to Russia

A new US$100m cement plant was launched in Rudny, Kostanay region, Kazakhstan, to meet the requirements of the domestic cement industry as well as Russia’s southern regions, Kazakh media reported. Colombian cement demand up 5% in October

The Colombian cement market expanded by 5.2 per cent to 1.083Mt  in October 2018 when compared with 0.949Mt in October 2017, according to the country’s statistics office, DANE. The markets of Meta and Bolívar registered the largest increases at 26 and 19.4 per cent, respectively, but significant gains were also made in the key markets of Cundinamarca (+7.6 per cent), Antioquia (+5.6 per cent) and Bogotá (+5.4 per cent).
