Singapore-based Credera has announced that it will invest US$20m in a stake in a new 5000tpd cement plant in Myanmar, Deal Street Asia reports. Total cement sales in Pakistan in February 2017 were 3.435Mt, down by 0.41 per cent from 3.449Mt during the corresponding month of last year, according to the All Pakistan Cement Manufacturers Association (APCMA). Argentina's cement producers dispatched 801,782t of cement in February, a 0.8 per cent drop MoM and 8.7 per cent YoY, according to the Argentine cement producers' association, AFCP. Domestic sales decreased 0.8 per cent YoY to 801,782t in February 2017 from 808,310t in February 2016. Exports increased 9.3 per cent YoY to 6652t from 6084t. Vietnam sold 9.4Mt of cement in the first two months of 2017, representing a 0.4 per cent decrease when compared with January-February 2016, according to the Vietnamese Ministry of Construction.
