Tajikistan has reported cement production of 2.1Mt in the opening six months of 2023. Of this total, more than 538,000t were exported, down 138,000t compared to the same period a year earlier. Cement demand in Argentina declined by 6.9 per cent to 1,067,680t in July 2023 when compared with July 2022, when demand reached 1,146,900t, according to the country’s cement association, AFCP. Cement sales in Brazil decreased by 0.5 per cent YoY to 5.476Mt in July 2023 from 5.503Mt in the year-ago period, according to the national cement association, SNIC.
