Cong Thanh Group begins production from second line

Vietnamese producer Cong Thanh Group on 18 November held a ceremony to mark the first batch of cement made by its second production line at its cement plant in the northern province of Thanh Hoa. The new line has a clinker capacity of 12,500tpd or 3.6Mta, the group said on its website Thursday. The operation of the second production line will help contribute to the province’s industrial production growth and contribute VND600bn (US$27m) to the provincial budget.

Romania: LafargeHolcim reports 15.3% rise in 9M15 cement sales

LafargeHolcim increased its cement sales in Romania by 15.3 per cent in the first nine months of the year, especially due to the strong advance of the construction market in Bucharest. Vietnam: MoC forecasts 2016 sales rise of 4-7%

Vietnam's sales of cement and clinker are predicted to rise 4-7 per cent YoY in 2016 to between 75-77Mt, according to forecasts by the country's Ministry of Construction (MoC). Preliminary data and market estimates gathered by Sindicato Nacional da Indústria do Cimento (SNIC) indicate that cement sales in Brazil declined by 14.6 per cent YoY in October 2015 to 5.6Mt.
