The Supreme Court has directed the six cement producers of Rajasthan to pay 24% interest to the state government as royalty due on lime stone from 1996 onwards. The cement producers are: JK Synthetic, Birla Corporation , JK Udaipur Udyog , JK Corporation and Shree Cement . RAK Cement increased its losses for the second quarter and first half of this year against 2010. Cement prices declined since the previous year to offset the strong production and sales volumes, the company stated to investors on the Abu Dhabi Securities Exchange today. Vietnamese cement makers, comprising Ha Tien 1 (HT1), Ha Long, Fico, Cam Pha, Nghi Son, Thang Long and Holcim raised their ex-work cement prices by VND150,000/t (US$7.28) amid rejection of the Price Management Department.
