Korcem clinker line is ignited

Sinoma (Liyang) Heavy Machinery has successfully ignited the 3500tpd (1.15Mta) clinker production line of the Korcem project in Kazakhstan. Sinoma (Liyang) Heavy Machinery carried out the project on an EPC basis. The new line project in Korday was begun at the end of 2021 and featured some delays. It will now be optimised to have a full cement capacity of 1.5Mta.

Buzzi completes sale of Ukraine operations to CRH

Following the approval received from the local antitrust authority on 5 September 2024, Buzzi has completed the closing of the sale of its assets in Ukraine to CRH, which was signed on 20 June 2023. The sale price amounts to EUR0.1bn. Dyckerhoff Polska to modernise Nowiny cement plant

Dyckerhoff Polska has received support from the Starachowice Economic Zone for a major green investment at the Nowiny cement plant .  With an investment of over PLN200m (US$50.78m) the company will modernise its technological line, maintaining high production levels while reducing CO 2 emissions. The plant in southern Poland has a current cement capcity of 1.6Mta.

Sonmez Cement to add second production line

Sonmez Cement has announced an expansion at its Adana Ceyhan plant in Adana Yumurtalik Free Zone, Turkey. The modernisation will see clinker production rise at the facility to 5.63Mta and cement production increased to 6.89Mta with completion of the second production line. Steppe Cement reports 1H24 revenues of US$34m

Steppe Cement reported its 1H24 unaudited interim results with revenues amounting to US$34.4m, a seven per cent fall from US$36.9m in the corresponding period of 2023. Ukraine's antimonopoly committee clears CRH acquisition of Dyckerhoff Cement Ukraine

The Antimonopoly Committee of Ukraine (AMCU) has approved the deal by CRH Ukraine BV to acquire shares of PRJSC Dyckerhoff Cement Ukraine , according to an AMCU website report. The acquisition will provide the buyer with over 50 per cent of the voting shares on the PrJSC Dyckerhoff Cement Ukraine board. This week, Cimsa (Sabanci Group) has made an agreement to acquire Mannok in Ireland in a EUR330m deal. President Sadyr Japarov of Kyrgyzstan has launched the Terek Tash clinker factory in Kemin district.  The new 1.5Mta cement plant is an investment agreement between the government and the consortium of Terek Tash LLC and Zenit LLC.
