Research undertaken to increase fly ash in cement

An ongoing research project, carried out by De Salle University in the Philippines, is seeking to use 100 per cent fly ash in cement production in an effort to reduce its carbon footprint. The Pakistan Economic Survey 2017-18 was released on 26 April by Dr Miftah Ismail, adviser to the Prime Minister on Finance, Revenue and Economic Affairs. Vigier cement work's quarry, near the Swiss town of Bienne revealed the largest electrical vehicle in the world on Friday 20 April. The E-Dumper named 'Lynx' weighs 58t empty, with tyres measuring 2m  in diameter and nine steps up to the drivers' cabin. It was built from a diesel-powered dump truck. The Water Development Department (WDD) in Cyprus is in talks with Vassiliko Cement Works to use byproducts generated at the municipal waste treatment plant at Pentakomo as alternative fuels as an alternative to landfill. Irish Cement has received permission from An Bord Pleanála to replace fossil fuels at its facilities in Mungret, Limerick, and Platin, Co Meath.
