CIMA receives fresh offer from Vicat, Malaysia

International creditors offer huge loans to Tay Ninh Cement, Vietnam

BNP Paribas of France and China’s ICBC on Monday signed a loan agreement with Vietnam’s FICO to provide the latter a syndicated loan of US$97.1 million to build Tay Ninh Cement Factory. Kien Giang produces 1.86Mt of cement

The southern province of Kien Giang has produced 1.86Mt of cement so far this year, earning VND1.4 trillion (US$88m) in revenue, says the provincial industry department.  Ha Tien Cement Co accounted for 678,444t of the total, making it the province’s leading cement producer.   Four cement plants in the province expect to decrease prices in the near future to enhance their competitiveness on the domestic market, said the department.

Indonesian conglomerate Rajawali Group will buy 24.9 per cent of PT Semen Gresik for US$337m under an agreement signed Monday.
