Holcim, is expected to report a rise in full-year profit next Wednesday after higher cement prices and efficiency gains  more than outweighed growth in raw material costs, analysts said. Holcim is benefiting from a pick-up in cement  demand in North America and parts of Europe on the back of the economic recovery. Turkish cement and clinker producer Bolu Cimento plans to invest 10.332 mln new Turkish lira ($7.68m) in 2005, the company said on February 25, 2005.  The company said in early 2004 that it had earmarked some 3.44 mln lira ($2.56m) for investments in 2004.  Bolu Cimento plans to produce 1.55Mt of cement and 1.320Mt of clinker in 2005.
