China Resources Cement unit buys Tiejian stake for 15m yuan

China Resources Cement Holdings Ltd said unit Goodsales Investments Ltd has agreed to acquire the remaining 30 per cent stake in Shenzhen China Resources Tiejian Concrete Co Ltd which the group does not own for 15m yuan.  Upon completion of the deal, Tiejian will become a wholly-owned unit of Goodsales Investments, it said in a statement.  Tiejian was set up as a limited liability company on March 26, 2002 in China with a registered capital of 25 mln yuan.  It is principally engaged in the m...

In 1H2004 Eurocement produced around 3.6Mt of cement, up five per cent versus the same period 2003. Total cement output, including Katavsky Cement and Neviyansky Tsementnik affiliated with Eurocement, reached 4.4mln tons. Fars could become cement hub as construction of cement factories begin, Iran

According to “Tehran Times”, with the construction of four cement factories to begin soon, Fars Province will become Iran’s hub of cement production. At a meeting with provincial industry managers, Lari said that the factories are slated for constructed in the cities of Sepidan, Nur Abad Mamasani, and Eshkanan. Cemex has  posted earnings before interest tax depreciation and amortisation (EBITDA) in Colombia of US$34m (EUR27.3m), up 15 per cent YoY  the first half of 2004.
