Bokaro steel plant and the Cement Corporation of India (CCI) are all set to sign MoU paving way for a cement plant in Bokaro. Already two high level meetings have taken place. After changing its name and image from Apasco to Holcim Apasco, the cement company left the Mexico City Stock Exchange Thursday after the conclusion of the stock purchase of its Mexican subsidiary by the second largest cement producer in the world, Swiss firm Holcim. Cement prices are on the rise from a combination of increased building and lower supply, and the effect is being felt by construction companies. Gujarat state India recorded the highest cement production in the last financial year from its eight integrated works, including Grasim Industries Ltd, Gujarat Ambuja Cements Ltd and Larsen & Toubro Ltd.
