China cement prices drop for three consecutive weeks

Cement prices in China were down for the third consecutive week last week, dragged down by price declines in Sichuan and Qinghai provinces, falling 1.12 per cent from the previous week. The Ethiopian Ministry of Industry has approved of plans to establish a Cement Technology Institute in Ethiopia. Uncertain outlook for Spanish cement sector

India’s cement production in November was 14.08Mt, up 20% from a year ago but down 2% from a month ago, data released by the Cement Manufactures Association showed.     Cement despatches rose 17% on year to 13.98Mt but fell five per cent on month.     In the current financial year that started April, India’s cement production has risen marginally to 112.80Mt, as against 108.67Mt last year.
