Paraguay's INC to inaugurate new Villeta mill

Industria Nacional del Cemento (INC) will inaugurate its new US$11.5m cement mill tomorrow, enabling the plant to increase production by 50 per cent, according the cement company. The new 80tph mill has been operational since February, working in parallel with the old mill, which was installed in 1985. Output is expected to rise to 390,000t at Villeta. As a result, the company expects to increase its market share from a current 51 per cent to 70-75 per cent and increase revenues by US$50m.

Namibia’s Whale Rock cement plant commissioning in October

Namibia’s Whale Rock cement plant, built with Chinese investment, is expected to fully commission at the end of October, according to company spokesman Manfred Uxamb. UltraTech Cement Ltd's unaudited financial results for the quarter ended 30 June 2018 reported net sales of INR88.4bn (US$1.28bn), up 27 per cent from INR69.3bn of the previous year. Ecocem France has opened its new 0.75Mta production plant in Dunkerque, France. LafargeHolcim France is installing a new blending facility at its Dunkerque Nord grinding plant to increase the unit’s capacity.
