Cement sales in Brazil remained almost level in July 2021 at 5.9Mt, representing a 0.1 per cent YoY increase from 5.897Mt in July 2020, according to SNIC, the industry’s professional body. All regional markets, except for the South, showed small to moderate contractions. Votorantim Cimentos’ sales volume rose to 9.8Mt in 2Q21 compared to 7.5Mt in 2Q20, a growth of 31 per cent. Lucky Cement reports consolidated earnings of PKR28.2bn for FY21

Pakistan-based Lucky Cement Ltd reported a consolidated profit after tax of PKR28.23bn (US$172.46m) against PKR 7.1317bn in the previous fiscal year. Cemex to expand capacity at its Rockfort plant by 30%

Cemex plans to upgrade and increase the production capacity by 30 per cent of its Rockfort cement plant in Jamaica. Bolivian cement demand advanced 125 per cent to 295,026t in May 2021 when compared with the low base of 131,101t in May 2020, according to Bolivia’s statistics office, INE. Cementir reported a 16.5 per cent rise in revenues for the first half of 2021 to EUR664.5m from EUR570.4m in the 1H20.
