Power Cement's WHR plant nears completion

Power Cement Ltd has announced that it is installing a 12MW waste heat recovery (WHR) power plant, which is expected to be operational later this year at the company's plant site in Deh Kalo Kohar, Nooriabad Industrial Estate, District Dadu (Sindh). PPC to shut down kiln to meet emission standards

South Africa’s PPC has stated that it expects to pay around ZAR120m (US$8.5m) as a result of the new carbon tax and will also shut down a kiln at its Port Elizabeth (PE) facility to meet the new emission standards. Domestic cement dispatches in Vietnam fell six per cent YoY and seven per cent MoM to 5.929Mt in May 2019, according to the Vietnam Cement Association (VNCA).
