Construction to start on Emirates RDF facility

Construction starts this month on the Emirates refuse-derived fuel (RDF) facility, which is being built in Umm Al Quwain, UAE. The project is a joint venture consisting of UAE based contractors Besix and TG Eco Holding together with Finland-based Griffin Refineries. Martinsburg cement plant, located in West Virginia, United States, has agreed to pay a US$1.5m fine for violations of the Federal Clean Air Act from 2013 through 2016, according to the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA).
