Ang plans to increase capacity in the Philippines

A total of 29Mt of cement was dispatched during the first 10 months (July 2014 - April 2015) of the current Pakistan versus 28Mta in the same period of last year due to a rise in domestic demand, the All Pakistan Cement Manufacturers Association (APCMA) said. Colombian cement market expands 4.4 % in April

In April 2015 there was a 4.4 per cent YoY rise in cement dispatches in Colombia. Some 0.999Mt of grey cement reached domestic customers, according to the latest figures by the national statistics service, DANE. Nariño led the expansion seeing its sales advance by 60.7 per cent, followed by Cesar (43.8 per cent), Magdalena (34.5 per cent), Cauca (8.5 per cent) and Antioquia (7.2 per cent). The price of a 50kg bag of cement varies from XAF3000 (US$5.01) to XAF6000 across the six capitals of Economic and Monetary Union of West Africa (UEMOA) states.  In Senegal’s capital, Dakar, the price is XOF3000, one of the lowest in the west African sub-region. PCA: ‘New EPA rule threatens economic recovery’

The US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) on Wednesday released its final "waters of the United States" (WOTUS) rule. Pakistan's cement exports during April 2015 showed sequential gains but declined over the first 10 months of the current fiscal on an annual comparative basis, with shipments to its main market of Afghanistan down by almost a quarter. Gansu Qilianshan Cement and 8th Metallurgical Corporation signed a memo with JBK on joint construction of a cement production line project in Osh, Kyrgyzstan. The three parties plan to jointly spend US$130m building the cement production line project in southern Kyrgyzstan. Hope announces GBP1m wagon investment

Hope Construction Materials has announced a major investment in rail transportation from its flagship Derbyshire cement operation in the UK. The company is investing over GBP1m in the manufacture and long-term lease of 48 tailor-made rail wagons for the distribution of cement from its Hope Works, in Hope Valley. Burnpur commences trial production of Jharkhand grinding unit

Burnpur Cement has commenced the trial production from its new grinding unit at Patratu in state of Jharkhand, India, on 23 May 2015. Fully-fledged production will start next month. The company has clarified that only its grinding unit is ready to start the production. Trial production from its clinker unit will take some more time as it is still under construction.
