Angola factory awaiting enviromental clearance

The start of construction of the Cimentos Palanca plant in Angola is now only awaiting licensing from the Environment Ministry, said board member Victor João of the Gema group, which is responsible for the project.

Two small-sized Ethiopian cement plants operated by Huwaei Plc and Debresina Business Industries, respectively have been banned from manufacturing cement, after the Ethiopian Quality and Standards Authority (EQSA) found their products to be below standard. Israel’s Public Utilities Authority (Electricity) has granted three licenses for private power projects. One license is to Mashabfor for a 76MW cogeneration plant at its Nesher Cement plant in Ramle.
