Cement consumption in Spain advanced 4.4 per cent to 1,305,861t in September 2021 when compared with the equivalent period in 2020, according to Spain's cement association, Oficemen. Cement dispatches in Peru advanced 14 per cent YoY and three per cent MoM to 1.238Mt in September, according to Asocem, the country’s cement association. Power supply switching station ready for Huaxin Cement

Nepal Electricity Authority (NEA) has commissioned the switching station in Dhading district that will be supplying electricity to the Huaxin Cement plant that is under construction. According to the NEA, the switching station was charged on Friday by using the electricity supply from Marsyangdi-Syuchatar 132kV transmission line. Cimtogo raises price due to input price pressures

HeidelbergCement subsidiary Cimtogo will increase its cement price by XOF6000/t (US$10.60), according to Republic of Togo. “This adjustment became necessary following a 250 per cent increase in fuels for the Scan Togo plant and an increase of more than US$35 per tonne in sea freight on gypsum and coal. In the current international context, it is no longer possible to maintain the old prices,” explained Eric Goulignac, CEO of Cimtogo on Saturday.

Gabon’s cement market contracted by 10.1 per cent to 197,246t in the 1H21 from 219,386t in the equivalent period of 2020, according to data by the country’s Ministry of Economy.
