India’s ACC Oct cement shipments up 6.7 per cent YoY02 November 2007, Published under Cement NewsIndia’s ACC Ltd said on Thursday its October cement shipments rose 6.7 percent to 1.76Mt from 1.65Mta year earlier. The Mumbai-based company, in which Swiss cement maker Holcim controls about 41 percent, said production in the month was 1.76Mt, up from 1.68 million tonnes a year ago. ACC has an annual cement making capacity of 19.9Mt, making it India’s single biggest cement maker. Grasim Industries has 14.1Mt capacity, while its unit UltraTech Cement has 17Mt. |
