Podilskyi Tsement to switch to dry

The Podilskyi Tsement cement company, which is one of the three largest producers of cement in Ukraine, intends to shift to the dry method of cement production. Zhigulevskiye Stroymaterialy reaches 50Mt of clinker

Zhigulevskiye Stroymaterialy JSC (Samara region) has produced 50Mt of clinker and 65Mt of cement. Design capacity of the company is 1.9Mt of cement per year. In 2005 the company produced 880,000t of cement (a seven per cent rise against 2004). In 2005-2007 RUR400mln will be allocated to implement the upgrade program; in 2006 RUR150m will be invested in upgrade of production, Eurocement Group’s press service reported to SKRIN.

A cement joint-stock company in the southern Tay Ninh Province, Vietnam, has signed a US$93m deal to equip its factory with technology from China’s Tianjin Cement Industry Design and Research Institute. Orascom to confirm Indonesian plant?

Egypt’s Orascom plans to build a cement factory in the regency of Purwodadi, Central Java, this year.  The Egyptian conglomerate also planned to invest in infrastructure projects such as in a toll road project in Central Java, Central Java Vice Governor Ali Mufiz said last weekend.   He gave no more details about the planned investment, beyond saying that the factory will be able to meet cement requirements in that province.  He said the company had asked for a license, but no agreement had ...

Fujairah cement plant

The Emirates Cement Factory has confirmed it will be building a US$475m cement plant in Fujairah, to be partly financed by a US$235m initial public offering, reported Gulf News. Construction of the plant is to start shortly. Emirates Cement is owned by Abu Dhabi Government.
