Peru cement market contracts 3% in June

Cement consumption in Peru fell by three per cent in June, according to the country’s cement producers’ association, Asocem. Senegal cement sales up 0.7% in 5M15

Demand for cement in Senegal edged up 0.7 per cent YoY to 1,432,100t in January-May 2015, according to national Planning and Economic Study Directorate. Production in the first five months of 2015 increased 9.6 per cent to 2,444,100t when compared with 2,230,800t noted in 5M14. Output was buoyed by a 26 per cent YoY rise in exports, which surpassed the 1Mt mark at 1,050,400t during the five-month period.

Production of building materials in Uzbekistan increased by 11.3%

Vietnam Cement Industry Corporation (Vicem), the country’s leading state-owned cement producer, said its cement and clinker sales slipped 0.5 per cent to 10.73Mt in the first half of 2015.
