Tanzania to import Pakistani cement

Tanzania has decided to import cement from Pakistan as it faces acute shortages following mechanical breakdown at a plant, Guardian newspaper reported on Saturday. The Cameroon government and Lafarge are investing CFA50bn (US$581m) in a cement factory to be built in Nomayos, a small town 15km southwest of Yaounde, the unit’s chief executive officer said Friday.
